At Sambora Kinigi Lodge, our mission is to connect people with the beauty and culture of Rwanda in a way that fosters sustainable travel, supports local communities, and protects our natural environment. We believe that luxury travel can and should have a positive impact.

Our mission is driven by three core values:

Sustainability: We are committed to eco-friendly practices that protect Rwanda’s natural resources and the habitats of endangered species, particularly the mountain gorillas. From our use of eco-friendly materials in construction to our waste management and energy efficiency, sustainability is embedded in everything we do.

Community Empowerment: We work hand in hand with the local community, providing employment opportunities, supporting local artisans, and investing in initiatives that improve the quality of life for the people living in the areas surrounding Volcanoes National Park. By involving the community in tourism, we ensure that they benefit directly from the industry.

Authentic Experiences: We aim to offer more than just a place to stay; we strive to provide meaningful, authentic experiences that allow guests to connect deeply with the culture, wildlife, and beauty of Rwanda. Whether through gorilla trekking, cultural tours, or guided nature walks, our guests leave with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Rwanda’s unique environment.
